“Just in case it worked” Peppermint Marshmallow Bark

16 Dec

The name really does say it all. Katie and I were finishing up the marshmallow pops from the previous post when we realized we had leftovers. This was call for us to get creative, so, “just in case it worked” we created a recipe for peppermint marshmallow bark, just in case YOU had extras from making our marshmallow pops. The bark really turns out well, for being pretty impromptu. The leftover candy canes give a great crunch, the chocolate is, well, chocolate (nothing wrong with that!) and the marshmallows are cute, even if the designs we made DID get messed up when we broke up the bark. This is so simple, it’s barely deserving of a “recipe” so we’re just including a video and a few pictures. Enjoy!

Leftover melted chocolate

Leftover crushed candy canes

Leftover cut up marshmallows (optional)

Video Notes: When I say “this thick” I mean spread as thin as you’d spread frosting on a cake. Probably no more than a centimeter or two thick. This is not substantial bark, just something to use up leftovers.

* Literally, just do what I did in the video, stick the bark in your fridge for awhile (we forgot about it, actually!) then once it’s set, break apart the pieces.
